Cookies policy

Last updated 9 October 2026. Manage your preferences any time by clicking .

This page lists every cookie we set, what it does, and how long it lasts. We use as few as we can.

What is a cookie?

A small text file your browser stores on your device. Cookies remember things between visits: that you are signed in, your preferred currency, which campaign brought you here. Some are essential. The rest are optional and off until you turn them on.

Categories we use

Strictly necessary (always on)

Required for sign in, security, and the site to function. You cannot turn these off.

  • laravel_session: keeps you signed in. First party. Session.
  • XSRF-TOKEN: protection against cross site request forgery. First party. Session.
  • pf-consent-v1: records your cookie preferences, in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie. First party. Until you clear it.

Functional (off by default)

Remember a preference so you do not have to set it again.

  • pf_currency: the currency you chose in the footer switcher, so prices stay in it on later visits. First party. 365 days.

Analytics (off by default)

Aggregated page views so we know which pages help shops and which do not. Nothing loads until you accept this category in the banner.

  • Umami: a self-hosted analytics script on our own server in Helsinki, Finland. It sets no cookie and no third party receives the data. It records the page, the referrer, the browser type and the country, aggregated, for 24 months. The script is not currently enabled on the site at all.

Marketing (off by default)

Attribute which campaign brought you to us so we know which ones to keep funding.

  • pf-utm: remembers the campaign source if you arrived from one. First party. 30 days.

Third parties

Only one third party can set a cookie on this site, and only on the checkout pages:

  • Stripe (United States and Ireland), on the checkout pages, for payment and fraud prevention.

Controlling cookies

Manage them via the button. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings. Doing so will break sign in, but the marketing site will still work.

Changes

Updated whenever we add or remove a cookie. The list above is the current state.

We use cookies to make Printer's Friend work. Essential cookies keep the site running. With your consent, we also run self-hosted, cookieless analytics (Umami, on our own server) and a first-party marketing cookie to see which pages help print shops. Nothing optional loads until you say so. See our cookies policy.
Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function: session, CSRF, sign in. You cannot disable these.

Remember the currency you chose in the footer switcher.

Analytics

Aggregated page views through Umami, self-hosted on our own server. No cookie is set and no third party receives the data.

Marketing

Lets us measure which campaigns brought you to us. Off by default; only on if you accept.
